Our guide school is serious: We are committed to helping you reach your goals. Our application process is required because we take every step to plan the best school for our participants. Once a school date is filled, we immediately place all applicants in line for our next available school date(s) in the order your application was received.

At the Montana Fly Fishing Guide School we fish every day for seven days. Variety and challenge that is what you will get from our guide school. Come to Montana and take the Montana fly fishing guide school.

Tuition and Costs


Commuter Option: $1990 per person

Includes seven full days of Montana fly fishing instruction and fishing, course materials, lunches, two to three dinners, diploma, and job referral.

Not included are your fishing license and fishing gear. Flies and tackle for the on-the-water sessions can be purchased throughout the trip from Gallatin River Guides at a school discount.

Lodging Inclusive Option: $2590 per person

Includes eight nights of lodging, seven full days of Montana fly fishing instruction and fishing, two to three dinners, course materials, transportation, lunches, diploma, and job referral.

Not included are your Montana fishing license and fishing gear. Flies and tackle for the on-the-water sessions can be purchased throughout the trip from Gallatin River Guides at a school discount.

A deposit of 50% is required to hold your spot. Final payment is due 30 days prior to the start of the course. Deposits and/or final payment will not be refunded unless a replacement is found. We accept checks, money orders, and major credit cards.
